The Big Green Gathering is an annual event which has been held for the past few years at Fernhill Farm on the Mendips. It grew from a smaller event held within the Glastonbury Festival. I can't do justice to what it is all about so look at the main Big Green Gathering site.It isn't just a Mendip event but is of national importance attracting around 20,000 people.
I was only able to attend on one day but it was an amazing experience, and one that I would encourage other local people to visit and understand what it is all about rather than dismissing it as something which is 'undesirable' in our area. I don't have captions for the individual images but I hope you enjoy them as a taster. There was an overwhelming atmosphere of friendliness, the food on offer was excellent and there was so much of interest that I will definitely need to spend more time there next year.
