Tour of Britain 2011 Stage 6
Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain - Skoda King of the Mountains climb of Old Bristol Hill.
From the Tour of Britain website:- "Passing through Wells riders will take in the third Yodel Sprint on the line before heading onto a 30-kilometre finishing circuit that begins with the Skoda King of the Mountains climb of Old Bristol Hill.
Once again the climb takes riders up onto the Mendips, although this time via an even more formidable test than Cheddar Gorge. Changes of gradient and narrow roads will make this far harder than the Gorge and could well be where the day's winning move goes clear.
Anyone who does escape on Old Bristol Hill will have to deal with several further false flats once onto the tops of the Mendips, and then have to hold off any chasers over a fast descent back to Shepton Mallet and then the rolling final few kilometres that see The Tour return to Wells and the Priory Road finish line.
