Assynt 2013
At the end of October, I spent a week around Ullapool and Assynt on a photographic workshop with Duncan McEwan and 8 other enthusiastic photographers. We stayed at Ardvreck House which has beautiful views over Loch Broom and Ullapool, this was the base for our daily travels.
The weather wasn’t ideal for photography but we were blessed with some good light and very special moments. When I came here in 2011 the weather was pretty dismal for the whole time so I was keen to take advantage of good light and make the most of it.
The mountain, Stac Pollaidh has a very distinctive shape and was visible from many angles as we explored the area, hence there are a number of images featuring it.
Generally the images are in the order they were taken and are a personal record of a very enjoyable holiday under the guidance of Duncan McEwan, a fine photographer, very knowledgable guide and very good company! Sadly this is the last worksop he will lead as he has now retired, though he will be assisting Lee Frost in 2014.
