The Community Farm
The Community Farm at Denny Lane, Chew Magna was started by Luke Hasell, Phil Haughton and Jim Twine who all live in the Chew Valley. The location of the farm is set in beautiful countryside in the heart of the Chew Valley with stunning views across Chew Lake towards the Mendip Hills.
Qoute:What is a Community Farm?
A Community Farm is a not for profit project which links local people with the farm where their food is produced. Food is produced in an environment, which reconnects people with how and where their food is grown and invites you to become part of that process and help build a sustainable future. It is a farm which encourages participation in all aspects of growing - a place to work, to learn and to have fun.
Visit The Community Farm website for further information - maybe you too would like to be a shareholder?
Check out my Blog for further updates throughout the year - I'm proud to be a shareholder and part of this project which I believe is direction food production should take in the future.
